Local Children Encouraged to Make Sale Colourful This Summer

Sale Town Partnership is encouraging local school children from across Sale to help them create some fun, Summer bunting to decorate the town centre.

With more shops starting to re-open, albeit with social distancing and new safety measures in place, we wanted to bring some fun and colour to the town – and thought that strings of bunting displayed in shop windows would bring some brightness to the town and pride for the children seeing their creations displayed.

With the majority of children still being off school as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, we wanted to introduce something that would also be fun and entertaining for them to do at home. Colouring in, creating a design and making something can help with mental health, is relaxing and the children will also have a sense of achievement seeing their final creations across the town centre.

There are 4 templates to choose from, and can be downloaded from here to print out from home. Or, there are some printed out at the Sale Community hubs at Sale West and Sale Moor Community Centre’s.

You have until the end of June to create your bunting design, and return to The Square Shopping Centre (via post to Unit 10 Market Walk, Sale M33 7ZZ) or use the post box located in the Security Office at The Square, or hand in at Bean and Brush Art Café.

We look forward to seeing your designs.
